At ERM we are shaping a sustainable future with the world's leading organizations, including leading Diversified Energy, Environmental Planning & Permitting (i.e., Oil and Gas) and Power companies. ERM collaborates with clients throughout their asset life cycle, from site identification and assessment, stakeholder engagement, to permit acquisition, operation, and decommissioning. We are expanding our Sustainable Capital Project Development team to develop innovative solutions that deliver measurable business value. We seek an experienced professional to join as a key client-facing Capital Project Development Partner and shareholder.

Our Capital Project Delivery services support project development and asset operation, primarily within the oil and gas, and power sectors, focusing on project success from planning to operation while managing environmental, social, health, and cultural impacts. We aim to help clients meet environmental and social objectives, reduce costs, and avoid delays through early impact management and sustainability integration.

We are looking for an established leader with strong business development skills, technical expertise, and a successful team leadership record. Responsibilities include : 1) expanding client relationships with large Diversified Energy and Power companies, 2) driving business growth through recruiting and leadership development, and 3) enhancing ERM's reputation for complex project support. Candidates in Gulf Coast locations such as Houston, New Orleans, Dallas, and Austin will be considered.

THE OPPORTUNITY :

  • This is a Partner-level career opportunity offering equity ownership, strategic influence, and a platform to leverage ERM's market position and client relationships to drive growth.

ROLE PROFILE :

  • Focus on client account development, sales, and delivery of ERM's consulting services in the Diversified Energy and Power sectors, especially in growing ERM's Capital Project Development services. Key activities include :
  • Contributing to go-to-market strategies for decarbonization and low-carbon transition projects.
  • Collaborating with regional teams to implement consulting programs.
  • Understanding client needs and delivering value through strategic advice.
  • Building and expanding client relationships with high-potential opportunities.
  • Leading commercial strategies to win new business.
  • Driving sector innovation and managing high-performance teams.
  • Ensuring safety, financial, and contractual standards are met.
  • Engaging with ERM's technical communities, focusing on biodiversity and impact assessment policies.
  • REQUIREMENTS :

  • BS / MS in environmental science, biology, engineering, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in consulting or directly within the Diversified Energy or Power sectors, with a focus on low-carbon energy transition.
  • Recognized technical expertise and local market reputation.
  • Deep industry understanding, existing relationships, and knowledge of regulatory issues, including carbon policies.
  • Proven track record in delivering multi-million-dollar sales and programs.
