Overview : Join our dynamic surgical services team as a Certified Vascular Operating Room Surgical Technician III . In this vital role, you will assist surgeons by preparing and providing instruments and equipment during surgical procedures in the Operating Room. You will work closely under the supervision of the surgeon to ensure a safe, effective, and orderly environment, while enhancing patient safety.

Demonstrate superior knowledge of advanced surgical equipment and instrumentation.Exhibit leadership abilities and skills in organizing and coordinating effective use of personnel and materials.Develop and deliver continuing education topics.Prepare for emergency situations and display critical thinking to anticipate the needs of patients and surgeons.Conduct instrument counts prior to procedures and maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments during surgeries.Secure and prepare all necessary supplies and instruments for surgical interventions prior to procedures.Ensure the maintenance of a sterile field in the Operating Room.Prepare patient skin and assist in positioning during surgeries.Monitor patients throughout surgical procedures and provide supportive care in the pre-operative phase.Perform scrub functions and ensure correct handling of specimens.Maintain current knowledge in anatomy / physiology and medications used during operations.Stay updated on developments in the field through seminars, workshops, and publications, while following all safety procedures.Exhibit advanced knowledge and expert practice in various surgical procedures including Neurosurgery, high-risk Pediatric ENT, transplants, robotics, bariatrics, joint replacements, and vascular surgery.Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED plus short-term training in an operating room settingGraduated from an accredited surgical technician certification program is required. Alternatively, a minimum of 10+ years of experience with a comprehensive skill set across all specialties.A minimum of three years of experience in a hospital operating room is required.Familiarity with all surgical instruments and equipment, alongside a working knowledge of sterile and aseptic techniques.Current BLS certification required at the time of hire.Certification as a Surgical Technician is mandatory.Benefits : Your well-being is our priority.
