Summary

The Production Group Lead (MPS Team Leader) oversees daily operations, assigns jobs, communicates production requirements, and ensures operator efficiency. The role provides leadership by maintaining good communication, supporting company policies and procedures, and treating all employees fairly according to MAHLE standards and the MPS (MAHLE Production System).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Promote a safe and productive work environment.
• Follow all quality requirements and MPS standards.
• Inspect products for conformance and direct machinery setup and adjustments.
• Interpret specifications and assign duties to employees.
• Recommend improvements in production methods, equipment performance, product quality, safety, and morale.
• Suggest changes to working conditions and equipment use to increase efficiency and safety.
• Train new or reassigned employees on their duties, including quality and safety aspects.
• Perform activities of supervised employees approximately 30% of the time, filling in as necessary.
• Review process documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Support and complete 5S audits as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, with equipment and materials properly located according to 5S standards inside and outside the facility.
• Maintain excellent attendance.
• Work effectively in a team environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
