ABOUT THE POSITION :

The Trim Associate is responsible for precisely and efficiently trimming harvested cannabis plants to ensure they are ready for sale and consumption. This role is essential for maintaining the quality, appearance, and consistency of the final product. The Trim Associate must meet the minimum requirement of trimming at least one pound per shift, while adhering to company standards and complying with all regulatory requirements. Maintaining a high level of productivity and attention to detail is crucial.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Manually trim cannabis buds using scissors or other trimming tools, ensuring they
  • meet company standards by removing excess leaves and stems.

  • Maintain the quality, appearance, and integrity of cannabis flowers throughout the
  • trimming process.

  • Inspect trimmed cannabis for quality assurance, checking for mold, pests, or other
  • contaminants, and report any issues to the Trim Supervisor.

  • Ensure trimmed cannabis meets weight and quality specifications.
  • Process marijuana plants, including trimming buds, breaking down plants, and
  • preparing fresh frozen material for extraction.

  • Assist with inventory, maintaining sanitary practices, waste protocols, and cleaning
  • tools and the facility.

  • Uphold and enforce AZ Department of Health Services ("AZDHS") rules, regulations,
  • and compliance standards.

  • Wear and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Complete daily task checklists with efficiency and precision.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and professional working environment.
  • Safely and compliantly transport cannabis products within the facility.
  • Perform repetitive tasks with precision and strong attention to detail.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the management team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the manager to support department goals and
  • business operations.

    Minimum Qualifications (Required) :

  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring precision in trimming and quality control.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining product quality.
  • Physical dexterity for handling small tools and repetitive manual tasks.
  • Knowledge of cannabis plant anatomy and trimming techniques (or willingness to
  • learn).

  • Ability to follow strict hygiene and sanitary protocols.
  • Basic understanding of AZDHS rules and regulations (or willingness to learn).
  • Strong organizational skills to manage tasks and meet productivity goals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent time management and ability to complete daily tasks within set deadlines.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills to report any issues or discrepancies.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Additional Qualifications (Preferred) :

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a cannabis cultivation or production facility is preferred but
  • not required.

  • Experience in trimming, horticulture, or plant care is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AZDHS cannabis regulations and compliance standards (or a
  • willingness to learn).

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and meet production standards in a regulated
  • environment.

    Physical Requirements :

    This role involves continuous movement during shifts, including standing or sitting for long periods, bending, stooping, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing repetitive hand and arm movements for tasks such as pruning, planting, and harvesting. The position is performed indoors, typically in a cooler environment to maintain optimal conditions for the plants.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :

    Pay Rate : $15.00 per hour plus performance incentive bonuses
