    We are seeking a highly motivated Logistics Warehouse Specialist to join Penn State's Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) supporting a DoD Joint Program. Responsibilities include managing shipping and receiving of supplies and equipment, ensuring compliance with DoD regulations, and working in a fast-paced environment in San Diego, CA.

    Key duties include :

  • Developing logistics plans and procedures
  • Maintaining inventory records and conducting audits
  • Preparing shipping documentation
  • Managing receipt, storage, and shipment of materials
  • Optimizing warehouse layout
  • Coordinating with stakeholders for timely deliveries
  • Ensuring HAZMAT shipping compliance
  • Resolving logistical issues with teams
  • Participating in continuous improvement
  • Operating material handling equipment
  • Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of related experience or equivalent, with a preference for degrees in supply chain management or logistics. Required skills include experience in logistics, knowledge of DoD policies, HAZMAT handling, and ability to obtain a Secret Clearance. Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. is necessary.

    Preferred qualifications include military experience in logistics or related fields.

    This role requires U.S. citizenship, a security investigation, and a pre-employment drug screen. Salary ranges from $46,400 to $67,300 annually.
