Summary of Position

This role will lead code development, enhancements and maintenance of existing codebase that powers the performanceguarantees data pipelines for the ValueBased Care team. You will migrate and develop highperformance R pipelines, continuously monitor for optimization, and manage version control in GitHub.

Beyond daytoday pipeline stewardship, the role expands to :

Planning and executing code migrations across environments.

Designing, refactoring and orchestrating scalable, efficient data pipelines and workflows that can adapt to changes in our technology stack.

While the focus is technical, you will collaborate closely with crossfunctional partners-including clinical teams, business analysts, clientreporting groups, product personalization, product analytics, and programevaluation / ROI teams-to address the organization's most critical business challenges as it emerges.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Own & Evolve DataLogic Workflows - Maintain, refactor, and extend the existing Rbased codebase that powers performanceguarantee pipelines; ensure robust version control in GitHub and continuous monitoring of pipeline health.

Build and Test Workflows - Design, Test and implement reusable workflows (functions, stored procedures, R packages etc) that can enable / inform efficient process across the VBC team.

Deliver Clinical Performance Reports - Produce and distribute regular performance dashboards and / or adhoc reports for internal stakeholders (ValueBased Care, product, analytics) and external client partners as per requirement.

Support ValueBased Care Analytics - Assist the Value Base Care Team in conducting required clinical outcome metrics investigation to inform business decisions on internal / external client initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, equivalent combination of education and experience is accepted.

5+years' experience as a Clinical / Healthcare Data Scientist with Medical and Rx claims and other healthcare administrative data experience.

Advanced skills in programmingefficient data pipelines using R.

Significant experience with engineering cadence, habits, database environment and analytical tools (github,AWS, Azure, Databricks, SQL and R).

Advanced understanding of statistics and machine learning concepts including study design, causal inference, statistical and predictive modeling.

Required license or credential needed to perform job : N / A

Preferred Qualifications

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate vague requirements into impactful data science projects efficiently.

The base salary range for this position is$120,000 - $150,000 . In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here : Teladoc Health Benefits 2025.Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
