Clinical Neuropsychologist

Seeking an early-career clinical neuropsychologist to join our busy, well-established, neuropsychology practice in beautiful Indian Wells, CA (Palm Springs area). The practice provides neuropsychological services for patients seven years of age and older, although 70% of referrals in the past year have been Medicare referrals. Medical-legal expert requests are also common. The practice is well-established and has an excellent reputation.

The responsibilities of the position include providing neuropsychological assessments for adults and, if appropriately trained, children down to the age of seven. Income is determined by how busy the incoming neuropsychologist chooses to be, and the work schedule is also determined by the neuropsychologist. The income range is estimated to be between $85,000 and $100,000 annually if working full-time.  Benefits include health insurance and retirement matching.

The practice will secure all insurance credentialing for the candidate. There is an office manager who handles all scheduling and insurance (including billing and collection) and a psychometrist to assist with test administration and scoring.

The neuropsychology practice is in beautiful Indian Wells, CA (Palm Springs or Coachella Valley area). The valley is an excellent place to live a good quality of life and to raise a family. The area is very clean and well-manicured, and everything is within a 20-minute drive. The area is known for its luxurious resorts, spas, golf courses, premier sports (golf, tennis, polo, and now hockey), and music concerts (Coachella, Stagecoach, and more). Indian Wells is approximately two hours from Los Angeles and San Diego. Ski resorts are within two hours as well. Nine months of the year the weather is optimal. The public schools are excellent, the valley is safe with little violent crime, and the area is much more affordable than larger Southern California cities like Los Angeles.

Requirements :

• Completion of a doctoral degree from an APA or CPA-accredited program in clinical psychology (specialization in neuropsychology preferred)
• APA-accredited one-year internship – preferably 50% neuropsychology
• Completion of an accredited, two-year postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology
• Licensed or license eligible in California
