Job description

THE POSITION

Do you enjoy playing an integral role in patient care? In this role, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to help improve drug therapy outcomes for our hospitalized patients. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Pharmacist, your primary responsibility will be the filling of the correct drug and strength for each patient while also providing the clearest directions possible with the least possibility of adverse reactions. Work involves filling medication orders and prescriptions, as well as examining each for adverse reactions, duplications, incompatibilities, and allergies. Additional responsibilities include packaging and applying auxiliary labels accordingly, and providing information regarding use, dosage, side effects, and safety to patients and other medical staff.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8 : 30 AM to 4 : 30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work schedule may change based on operational needs.
  • Telework : You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary : In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirements :

  • You must possess a license to practice pharmacy as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

    • Legal Requirements :

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.

    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
