Argus Medical Management is a well established physician practice management company located in Cypress, CA. We provide billing, staffing, credentialing, marketing, systems, accounting and purchasing services to over 300 physicians in L.A. and Orange Counties. We currently have an opening for a Human Resources Specialist.
POSITION SUMMARY :
Argus Medical Management seeks an experienced Human Resources Specialist to provide advanced administrative support and specialized expertise in leave administration, compliance tracking, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven HR experience, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to manage complex processes independently while maintaining strict confidentiality standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Leave Administration & Compliance :
- Administer all aspects of Leave of Absence programs including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, and company-specific leave policies
- Collaborate directly with Workers' Compensation carriers to ensure accurate reporting, claim tracking, and return-to-work coordination
- Generate compliance reports and metrics for management review
Data Management & Reporting :
Create compliance reports and analytics to support compliance tracking of TB, yearly TB 101 training, yearly Bloodborne pathogen training, CPR certification, MA licenses and Sexual Harassment prevention trainingManage 30-60-90 day new hire tracking system including training completion, compliance documentation, and benefits enrollment verificationMaintain automated compliance alerts and expiration notifications within ADP Workforce NowAudit employee files to ensure compliance with federal and state record-keeping requirementsManage sensitive employee information with highest confidentiality standardsAdministrative :
Assists with conducting new hire orientationSupport Assistant Manager of HR with policy development and implementation initiativesCoordinate specialized training programs and compliance education sessionsAssist with employment verification requests and background check processesPrepare detailed documentation for unemployment claims and legal proceedingsEmployee Relations Support :
Serve as primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding leave, benefits, and policy interpretationMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a combination of work experience3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience with demonstrated expertise in leave administrationAdvanced proficiency in ADP Workforce Now experience strongly preferredIntermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel for data analysisWorking knowledge of federal and state employment laws including FMLA, ADA, and Workers' Compensation regulationsPREFERRED QUALIFICATION :
SHRM-CP or PHR certificationExperience with Workers' Compensation carrier collaboration and claim managementHealthcare industry experienceProject management or process improvement experienceESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES :
