We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Real Estate Account Analyst to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of landlord and tenant financial records within the JDE Property Management system . The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting knowledge, excellent contract interpretation skills, and a high level of agility when working with complex financial data and real estate agreements. Experience in title or real estate is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Landlord Account Reconciliation :
- Review and reconcile landlord accounts by analyzing general ledger activity and sub-ledgers to ensure alignment with legal contracts. Identify discrepancies and recommend adjustments. Coordinate with Property Management teams to negotiate and finalize settlements.
- Contract Review & Interpretation :
- Interpret legal real estate documents, leases, and contracts to ensure proper financial execution in JDE. Ensure contract terms are reflected accurately in financial and billing records.
- Data Management in JDE :
- Update and maintain accurate data in JDE (Property Management System), including fields related to recurring billing, escalations, terminations, and FAS13 adjustments. Understand the flow of data between Property Management and the General Ledger.
- Stakeholder Communication :
- Communicate directly with landlords to explain payment reconciliations, contractual obligations, and settlement outcomes. Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, finance, and property management teams.
- Recurring Financial Processes :
- Administer monthly processes impacting financial statements, such as escalations of revenue / expenses, terminations, and contract updates. Review data output for accuracy and compliance.
- Issue Resolution & Escalation :
- Proactively identify data inaccuracies, escalate systemic issues, and collaborate with appropriate departments to resolve them.
- Special Projects & Reporting :
- Work on exception-based accounts, custom reports, and ad hoc projects as needed to support department goals.
Qualifications
Education :
High school diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or related field preferredExperience :
1–2 years of accounting experience requiredExperience interpreting legal real estate contracts preferredMinimum 2 years of professional experience in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environmentFamiliarity with JDE (JD Edwards) Property Management system strongly preferredTechnical Skills :
Strong Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas)Ability to analyze financial data and generate meaningful reportsFamiliarity with real estate title documentation a plusSoft Skills :
