About the Role :
The System Analyst 3 in Richmond, VA plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions by thoroughly analyzing, designing, and implementing complex systems. This position is responsible for gathering and interpreting business requirements, evaluating existing systems, and recommending improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. The role involves collaborating closely with stakeholders, including business users, developers, and project managers, to ensure that system solutions align with organizational goals. The System Analyst 3 will also lead efforts in troubleshooting and resolving system issues, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. Ultimately, this position drives the successful delivery of technology solutions that support business processes and strategic initiatives within the organization.
Minimum Qualifications :
- 3+ years of HL7 interface experience in Rhapsody
- 2+ years of experience with EHR – Cerner Millennium preferred
- Working knowledge of TCP / IP. HTTPs, Webservices, Microsoft OS, security protocols
- Experience with SQL Server, XML, and interface engines
- Solid understanding of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, and X12
- Proven ability to perform data mapping, transformation, and validation across disparate systems
- Familiarity with secure data exchange protocols (e.g., VPN, SFTP, HTTPS) and regulatory compliance frameworks including HIPAA and HITECH
- Must be able to work in Richmond, VA.
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems or large-scale business applications.Familiarity with Agile and Scrum project management frameworks.Professional certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis).Knowledge of database management and SQL querying.Experience working in the Richmond, VA area or understanding of local business environments.Responsibilities :
Conduct detailed analysis of business processes and system requirements to identify opportunities for improvement.Develop and document functional specifications, use cases, and workflow diagrams to guide system development and enhancements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and business stakeholders to design and implement system solutions.Lead system testing efforts, including creating test plans, executing tests, and coordinating user acceptance testing.Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for existing systems, ensuring timely resolution of issues and minimizing downtime.Facilitate communication between technical teams and business units to ensure clear understanding of requirements and project status.Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions that improve system capabilities.Skills :
