About the Role

The Mechanical Engineering team at Capella is responsible for designing and building all types of hardware ranging from test fixtures to full satellites. We support the full design life cycle starting from requirement definition all the way to product delivery.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be assisting in the design of our next generation satellites and everything in between to get us to space. Good communication is a must as you will be working cross functionally among different teams to come up with designs that satisfy system level requirements.

Role Responsibilities

• Requirement definition
• Concept layout
• Product design with CAD
• Creating drawings for fabrication
• Assisting in procurement and production
• Verification with stress analysis and / or testing.
• Hands-on Assembly, Integration and Testing (AI&T) with Prototypes
• Hands-on Assembly, Integration and Testing (AI&T) with Flight hardware

Compensation

The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $141,804.80 - $177,256.00. The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), specific office location and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity.
