Tex Tech is looking for a Lab Technician. The position is on the 1st shift working M-F 8 hour days from 7am to 3 pm. The Quality Lab Technician is responsible for testing a variety of textile materials, goods in process and finished goods according to specification and customers' requirements in all production areas of the company.

Will inspect materials visually for obvious defects, ensure measuring devices are kept in the calibration cycle, notifies supervisor when product is out of specification or other incidents of poor quality.

Records results on inspection forms or charts, enters data into computer and either approves or rejects product based on test results.

Notifies supervisor when product is out of specifications.

Ensures measuring devices are kept in the calibration cycle.

Previous lab or scientific field experience is preferred. Must have good math skills and experience using computers including MS Office. Attention to detail is a must along with the ability to interact well with others. The ability to work under pressure is a must.

The shift for this position is M-F from 7am-3pm.
