Job Summary
The Pediatric Neurology Division of the Janet Weis Childrens Hospital at Geisinger Medical Center has an opening for a fellowship trained, neuromuscular specialist to join our dedicated team.? This extremely collegial and congenial group is committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to the children of central and northeast Pennsylvania. In addition to advanced neuromuscular care, the pediatric neurology department also provides a comprehensive epilepsy program, specialized headache care, a pediatric sleep center, and genetic testing and counseling programs. In addition to a challenging and enjoyable clinical role, the successful candidate will also be actively engaged in the teaching of pediatric residents, pediatric neurology residents, and medical students.? Opportunities for research also exist. Geisinger has an exciting intellectual environment highlighted by the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Scranton, PA. The medical school is a leader in innovative education, with a curriculum emphasizing active learning, longitudinal clinical experiences, and community engagement. The Janet Weis Childrens Hospital is the tertiary care Pediatric Center for Geisinger Health System. Our specially trained pediatric care team provides expertise in over 30 medical and surgical disciplines, including care of children with neonatal illness, life-threatening critical illness, traumatic injuries, neurologic disorders, cancer, diabetes, gastrointestinal disease, infectious disease and heart and lung disorders.

Opportunity Details
Inpatient and outpatient coverage
EMG / ECV e lectrophysiologic studies
8 weeks of inpatient coverage annually
Level IV NICU
Telemedicine visits
Large team of twelve physicians and three advanced practice providers
Core Faculty appointment within pediatric neurology residency
