Job description

ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Opportunity :

RN - Peds Float Pool Acute Care

Job Details :

  • Work day shifts with 36 or 48 hours per week scheduling options
  • 13-week assignment duration
  • Float to various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, pediatric medical / surgical, pediatric ED boarders, and postpartum / mother baby
  • Every other weekend schedule required, must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays
  • Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed
  • Up to 40 hours approved for time off during contract
  • 60 hours of orientation provided
  • Required certifications : BLS, NRP, ACLS, PALS, and Dr. Browns Infant Driven Feeding Certification
  • 2 years of PICU experience required
  • NICU experience required and must be comfortable with pediatric patients
  • Epic charting system experience mandatory
  • Travel nursing experience required
  • Must adhere to facility float policy and work within scope of practice
  • Patient ratios vary by unit : PICU 1 : 2, NICU 1 : 2 or 1 : 3, Acute Pediatrics 1 : 4-5, Pediatric ED variable
  • May be required to float to Labor & Delivery and Mother / Baby during staffing crises
  • BSN preferred
  • Nursys verification required for submission

The facility serves as a regional transfer center offering advanced therapies such as ECMO, hypothermia treatment, and various transplant services.
