Academic General Faculty, Data Analytics and Decision Sciences (DADS)

The Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia invites applications for an Academic General Faculty (AGF non-tenure track) in DADS beginning in the fall of 2026.

The DADS area at Darden specializes in influential academic and practitioner-oriented research and teaching excellence. There is broad latitude with respect to specific area of research interest. The area offers a variety of required and elective courses to residential and executive MBA students including a concentration in Data Analytics. Topics currently taught include decision analysis data analytics optimization data science in business behavioral decision making game theory and project management. The area also helps staff a Master of Science in Business Analytics program. DADS faculty also teach actively in Dardens non-degree Executive Education programs.

For the 2025-2026 academic year the Darden School is recruiting in the areas of Analytics and Decision Sciences Finance Marketing Technology and Operations Management and Strategy Entrepreneurship & Ethics. AGF applicants are expected to bring something distinctive to the School such as outstanding teaching high visibility and effectiveness in working with practicing managers and executives or a particularly noteworthy research niche. The primary responsibilities would be teaching and developing curricular materials. AGF applicants typically bring a distinctive competency to the School without necessarily being expected to engage in the breadth of contribution of a tenured or tenure-track faculty.
