Summary : The Shipboard Electrical Engineering Technician will provide support to U.S. Navy Aircraft Carriers stationed at Newport News Shipyard (NNS)

Duties and Responsibilities :

\n\n \n

• Offer subject matter expertise to shipboard personnel, assisting the CEMAT electrical habitability project team with engineering and technical support.

\n

\n

\n

All personnel assigned must have the below qualifications and they must be current or be able to obtain :

\n

\n \n

ADA Notations : \n

Requires working, walking, reaching, sitting and concentration in the presence of noise.

\n

Ability to move in narrow and restricted passageways, up / down steep and narrow ladders or stairways.

\n

Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lbs. in weight.

\n

Noise conditions range from very quiet to loud.

\n

Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to : hard hat, safety glasses / goggles, ear plugs / muffs, masks / respirators, safety vests, gloves and steel-toe boots.
