Job Description
A Linda based client is seeking an experienced Pediatrician to provide excellent primary care services to patients from age 0 to 19 years old. An ideal candidate is a leader who works well collaboratively, values evidence-based practice, and values patient centered care. This candidate should be comfortable treating children and discussing outcomes with children and families.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree
- Current California medical license
- Completed an accredited residency program
- Current DEA certificate
- Board certified or board eligible pediatrics
- Current CPR certification
Responsibilities
Examine children regularly to assess their growth and developmentTreat children who have minor illnesses, acute and chronic health problems, and growth and development concernsCollect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination resultsProvide narrative summaries in EMR to communicate patient information to other health care providersPrescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury in infants and childrenExamine patients or order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests to obtain information on medical condition and determine diagnosisPrescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injuryAdvise patients, parents or guardians concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease preventionExplain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients and parents or guardiansMonitor patients' conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessaryPlan and execute medical care programs to aid in the mental and physical growth and development of children and adolescentsRefer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessaryCoordinate work with nurses, social workers, rehabilitation therapists, pharmacists, psychologists, and other health care providersDirect and coordinate activities of students, assistants, and other medical staffPlan, implement, or administer health programs or standards in hospitals, businesses, or communities for prevention or treatment of injury or illnessWrite prescriptions for antibiotics or other medicationsUse masks, gloves and safety glasses to protect themselves and their patients from infectious diseasesAbout Provider Healthcare
