Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Behavioral Health Discipline : RN Start Date : 12 / 15 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, rotating Employment Type : Travel 438863 Short Description : SMH – Level 1 RN Psych (Unit 3900) – Rotating D / E / N shifts. Weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge duties as needed per unit requirements. Job Description & Duties Perform intake assessments through interviews with patients and family to gather case history. Provide comprehensive nursing care and develop nursing diagnoses for medical and emotional status. Collaborate with psychiatrists and behavioral health staff to design individualized treatment plans. Administer psychotropic medications and monitor / document patient reactions. Coordinate further medical attention as needed. Educate patients on emotional disturbances and treatment needs. Ensure a safe and secure environment for patients and staff. Assess and document vital signs, including pain assessment and pain management. Document all patient information accurately in medical charts and follow physician orders. Maintain patient confidentiality and compliance with standard medical recordkeeping. Complete administrative tasks including filing, phone coverage, typing, and electronic progress notes. Provide courteous, high-quality service to patients and visitors, ensuring appropriate responses and referrals.
