Travel across the Eastern United States to facilities overnight weekly will be required.

What You'll Do :

Champion Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards. Ensure all drilling standards are followed.

Move and Operate Core Drill. Operation of portable rotary drill to obtain core samples. Layout or assist with the layout of the drilling pattern. Maintain accurate drill logs and prepare drilling reports. Collect and accurately describe stone, sand, and gravel samples. Maintains drill bits and changes drill steel as required. This may include the operation of other off-road mobile equipment as necessary.

Inspect and Maintain Core Drill. Maintain core drilling equipment and tooling. Inspect and maintain drill mechanisms, lubricant systems, and fluid levels. Make or assist with minor repairs as needed.

Complete Reports. Pre-shift and post-shift Safety inspections and complete core drilling reports as required.

Additional Responsibilities : Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills You'll Need :

Experience. Core drilling experience in the Mining or Aggregates industry is preferred. Work with a core drill rig is preferred. Acceptable performance, maintenance, and safety history is required.

Flexibility . Must be able to work overtime and extended hours depending on company demands. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises. Frequently works near moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic.

Ready to Drive . Must have a valid or be able to obtain a Class B CDL License.
