Job description

MEMCO is hiring for a Shipping / Shop Helper in Villa Rica!

  • Schedule : Mon - Fri 7am - 4pm; OT available
  • Pay : $17

Job Overview :

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Crating Associate to join our customers team. This role is responsible for assisting the shop in preparing outgoing shipments by building wooden crates and panels to protect materials during transport. The position requires use of basic hand tools, accurate measurement skills, and a strong focus on safety and quality. Candidates with a construction background are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Build and assemble wooden crates, panels, and bracing to secure architectural cladding materials (including MCM panels, fiber cement, and custom panels) for shipment.
  • Safely and efficiently handle materials to ensure they are prepared for secure delivery.
  • Read and interpret measurements using a measuring tape to cut and assemble protective components accurately.
  • Utilize basic hand and power tools in the fabrication of shipping materials.
  • Assist with general shipping duties, including loading / unloading and organizing materials for delivery.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with shop staff and supervisors to meet production and shipping deadlines.

    • Qualifications :

  • Ability to read a measuring tape and perform accurate measurements.
  • Experience with basic hand and power tools.
  • Prior construction or carpentry experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety.
  • Reliable and able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
