Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $85 to $95 per hour in Fort Wayne, IN

General job duties and types of procedures required : Emergency care Nursing Equipment utilized in the unit / department : EPIC charting Required skills and minimum years of experience : 2 years ER nursing experience Specific licensures and certifications / registrations required : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Shift or schedule requirements : All shifts possible Floating to other units / departments : NO Bed size / number of rooms for this unit / department : 43 Nurse to patient ratio of this unit : 1 : 4 Dress Code : Scrubs : Caribbean Blue Orientation will be Mon-Fri week 1 and Mon-Tues week 2 - 8 hour days. MANDATORY ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL 7 DAYS OF ORIENTATION. Additional Comments : Parkview Randallia Emergency Department has 43 beds and will treat an average of 165 patients per day. Located near the downtown area, the ED treats many patients who have a great need including a large volume of mentally ill patients. The staff works closely with the Fort Wayne Police Department and Parkview Behavioral Health to facilitate care of those patients, and also have recently added an enclosed behavioral health unit within the ED that is staffed with nurses and techs trained in mental health care. The Randallia ED will treat any kind of medical complaint, as well as some trauma, and uses a collaborative team approach to nursing and care of patients. The staff includes a great mixture of newer nurses as well as some nurses with over 20 years’ experience who work closely with the physicians and have great collaborative relationships with them. The Randallia campus fosters close working relationships among all departments in the hospital, and provides a family-like atmosphere. The campus continues to grow with the addition of new units and updating of older units as part of a $55 million renovation.
