PDC Pharmacy is currently hiring an Automation Technician for our pharmacy in Norristown. This is a full-time position under the direct supervision of either the Pharmacy Director or Assistant Pharmacy Director.  This position is responsible for packaging / filling via automated technology machines and may also package / fill medications by hand (without automated technology), as requested and as needed.  This primary focus of this position is using automation for packaging medications at the pharmacy.  Examples of automated technology machines that the Automation Technician may operate include DOSIS and TCGRx / Parata.  Other automated technology machines may also be included.

The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 8 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PHARMACY TECHNICIAN :

• Complete all work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Package medication orders per the label and customer packaging specifications.
• Package medications via the automated technologies located at the pharmacy location.
• Operate the automation technology machines, as directed.
• Package medications by hand as well, as requested and as needed.
• Assist with inventory.
• Adhere to all aspects of the pharmacy technician protocols, as well as all policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workstation.
• Conduct themselves professionally.
• Adhere to the PDC Pharmacy Dress Code of scrub uniforms.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Director or Assistant Pharmacy Director.
