Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele position requiring a MA RN license and rotating 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Derenzo Patient Care Unit, an inpatient Med / Surg Telemetry setting
  • Position involves telemetry monitoring with medical-surgical patient population
  • 12-hour rotating shifts covering both days and nights (7a-7 : 30p & 7p-7 : 30a)
  • Every other weekend and one major holiday coverage required
  • EPIC EMR is used in this unit
  • Floating requirements are not specified
  • Pass / fail competency testing in Tele / ECG and medication administration may be required
  • RNs provide direct care including monitoring, assessments, and implementing physician orders on a Med / Surg Telemetry unit
  • Major holiday coverage is expected as part of the rotating shift schedule
  • All planned time off requests must be presented at the time of consideration
  • First-time travelers are not excluded from consideration

    • Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Med / Surg Telemetry experience required
  • Current BLS certification from AHA required
  • Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
  • Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
  • Must not have worked at any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility (including perm or per diem) within the last 6 months
  • COVID vaccine series with booster and current flu vaccination required (medical exemptions accommodated)
