Dental Assistant in Corrections

CoreCivic is actively seeking dedicated and skilled Dental Assistants who are passionate about providing high-quality dental care in a correctional environment.

As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting dentists with inmate care. Your responsibilities include :

• Preparing the dental treatment area by setting up instruments for patient procedures and preparing necessary impressions and filling materials.
• Ensuring a safe and clean treatment environment by sterilizing dental units and instruments after each use and organizing equipment for the next patient.
• Managing dental supplies, including medication and syringes, while adhering to established inventory procedures.
• Maintaining cleanliness of equipment and work areas through appropriate sanitation practices.
• Reviewing dental services provided to ensure quality control and to prevent unnecessary duplication.
• Monitoring the status of inmates to ensure all necessary dental interventions and treatments are completed.
