Job description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Wound Care position requiring direct wound care and EPIC experience.

Job Details

  • Position is in a hospital-based outpatient wound care clinic,
  • Day shift schedule : Monday through Thursday 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm, Friday 8 : 00am to 12 : 00pm,
  • Patient population includes individuals with complex wound care needs, such as pressure ulcers, venous and arterial ulcers, and skin integrity issues,
  • Use of specialized treatments including alginates, enzymatic debriding agents, hydrocolloids, hydrogels, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, silver products, skin substitutes, and wound vac therapy,
  • EPIC EMR system experience is required,
  • Float to other locations within the health system may be required,

Job Requirements

  • Active NC or compact RN license required at time of consideration,
  • BLS certification required,
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience is required,
  • Direct wound care experience is required,
  • Must have experience with EPIC EMR,
  • Must pass a facility-required EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed,
  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility,

    • Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include assessment, management, and treatment of acute and chronic wounds, ulcers, and related skin conditions,
  • Knowledge of advanced wound care practices, including the use of specialized dressings and debridement techniques, is essential,
  • Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care is expected,
  • Compliance modules will be completed during orientation and may require 2-4 hours,
  • A strict zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences is enforced,
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply,
