Job description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Wound Care position requiring direct wound care and EPIC experience.

Job Details

Position is in a hospital-based outpatient wound care clinic,
Day shift schedule : Monday through Thursday 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm, Friday 8 : 00am to 12 : 00pm,
Patient population includes individuals with complex wound care needs, such as pressure ulcers, venous and arterial ulcers, and skin integrity issues,
Use of specialized treatments including alginates, enzymatic debriding agents, hydrocolloids, hydrogels, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, silver products, skin substitutes, and wound vac therapy,
EPIC EMR system experience is required,
Float to other locations within the health system may be required,

Job Requirements

Active NC or compact RN license required at time of consideration,

BLS certification required,

Minimum of 2 years of RN experience is required,

Direct wound care experience is required,

Must have experience with EPIC EMR,

Must pass a facility-required EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed,

Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility,

Additional Information

Responsibilities include assessment, management, and treatment of acute and chronic wounds, ulcers, and related skin conditions,

Knowledge of advanced wound care practices, including the use of specialized dressings and debridement techniques, is essential,

Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care is expected,

Compliance modules will be completed during orientation and may require 2-4 hours,

A strict zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences is enforced,
