Job Summary : Under the supervision of a Nurse or Team Leader, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides support to the nursing team by performing essential, routine tasks in the care of hospitalized patients or long-term care residents. The CNA ensures high-quality care by following established methods and techniques to assist in daily activities and patient well-being.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist patients / residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, feeding, hygiene, range of motion exercises, and ambulation as needed.
- Demonstrate clinical competencies within the scope of practice.
- Accurately document patient / resident care in the health records, ensuring timely and complete entries.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
- Support the development and reinforcement of individualized care and education plans for patients / residents and their families.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with team members regarding patient / resident care.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives to enhance service delivery.
- Follow all relevant standards and procedures specific to your work area or specialty.
Qualifications :
Completion of an accredited CNA training program and certification by the State.Preferred 3-6 months of experience in a similar role.Ability to perform essential duties in accordance with safety and care standards.
