A day in the life :

• Replant, prune, thin or trim trees, shrubs and groundcover.
• Operate a wide variety of motorized equipment and hand tools.
• Maintain turf areas and repair, maintain and install irrigation systems.
• Service and repair equipment, tools and motorized equipment.
• Keep roads and facilities clear and safe in winter through snow removal, deicing and sanding.
• Clear debris, build and repair fences, clear brush, mow grass and spray roadside vegetation.
• Perform minor building maintenance including cleaning, landscaping, painting and light carpentry.
• Repair guardrails and milepost markers.
• Repair, replace and / or maintain specific roadway surfaces, sub-layers or shoulders on state highways and facilities.
• Exposure to noise, extreme heights, all weather conditions, heavy equipment, pesticides and hazardous waste materials is expected.
• Must be able to move around rough terrain, bend and stoop for extended periods and may need to lift up to 70 pounds.
• May need to be available after hours, on weekends and holidays for emergency, on call and weather related purposes.

Whats in it for you :

Minimum qualifications : Six months experience operating heavy or light motorized equipment, using hand and power tools, performing minor servicing of equipment, and applying safety procedures.
