Job Details

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Civil Litigation Attorney to join our thriving legal team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for resolving disputes and a deep understanding of civil law procedures. This role will involve handling all aspects of the litigation process, from investigation, pleadings, and discovery through the pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal processes.

Responsibilities :

1. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute in civil litigation.

2. Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, briefs, contracts, and other legal correspondence.

3. Conduct thorough case investigations to ascertain the facts of the case.

4. Negotiate settlements to resolve disputes in favor of the client.

5. Provide legal advice to clients and advise them on their rights and obligations.

6. Participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as necessary.

7. Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect your clients and the operations of their industry.

8. Develop effective litigation strategies and conduct legal research.

9. Maintain high standards of professional conduct and ethics.

Qualifications :

1. A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.

2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.

3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation.

4. Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office.

5. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

6. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

8. Experience in mediation and arbitration.
