Job Description
Job Summary and Responsibilities
Under indirect supervision, provides and manages direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care for patients within a recognized area of practice or for a specified patient population. They lead the medical team and coordinate care for inpatients. They may examine individuals as they're admitted, ordering x-rays, diagnostic tests, and other lab work; they'll also analyze test results, order treatments and medical services, and prescribe medications.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose, treat, or provide continuous care to hospital inpatients.
- Prescribe Medications or treatment regimens to hospital inpatients.
- Order or interpret the results of test such as laboratory tests or x-rays.
- Conduct discharge planning and discharge patients.

CHI Memorial in Chattanooga, TN is searching for a highly qualified, board certified or board eligible Internal Medicine Hospitalist to join our Hospital Employed Group of 87+ physicians and APP's across 3 hospitals.

With the completion of our 320 million dollar renovation in July 2014, 300,000 sq. ft. have been added to the campus, added 96 patient rooms to a brand new seven-story tower, St. Anne’s Chapel with original stained glass windows, a 52 bed, State of the Art, ICU; Guerry Heart and Vascular Center, 7 cardiac catheterization rooms, State of the Art Cardiac Short Stay and Critical Care Unit and grew our patient navigation program to encompass all cancer centers of excellence and the congestive heart failure program.
