Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Provide strategic direction for the Primary Care Service Line, aligning goals with Guthrie’s system-wide priorities.
- Lead in a dyad partnership with the Administrative Director to ensure coordinated, effective operations across all primary care sites.
Clinical Oversight & Quality
Maintain an active clinical practice (approx. 40% FTE) to remain connected to frontline care.Champion quality and safety initiatives.Collaborate with system leaders to improve performance in value-based care, population health, and patient outcomes.Recruitment & Retention
Partner with Provider Recruitment to attract and retain top-tier physicians and APPs.Lead onboarding and integration efforts for new hires, ensuring rapid assimilation into Guthrie’s culture and workflows.Operational Excellence
Manage budgets, staffing models, and resource allocation to meet clinical and financial goals.Drive process improvement initiatives, especially in the integration of Guthrie and Lourdes primary care operations.
Qualifications
Required :
MD or DO, Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.Current, unrestricted medical license (or eligibility) in New York and Pennsylvania.Minimum of 5 years of clinical practice experience.Demonstrated leadership experience managing a large, multi-site clinical team or service line; minimum of 3 years.Proven ability to build trust, foster collaboration, and lead through influence.Preferred :
Prior experience in a dyad leadership model.Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.Background in quality improvement, population health, or value-based care.Comprehensive Compensation & Benefits
