As an SDET, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software systems through both automated and manual testing. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and analysts, to design test plans, develop automated test frameworks, and execute comprehensive testing strategies. This role requires a strong technical foundation, experience in modern test automation tools, and the ability to troubleshoot complex software issues. You will contribute to high-stakes projects in a dynamic, remote work environment while supporting continuous integration and delivery processes. Your work will directly impact the delivery of secure, efficient, and high-quality software solutions.
Accountabilities :
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, usability, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Automate testing workflows using frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, QTP, or LoadRunner.
- Collaborate with software developers and project managers to ensure adherence to project requirements and quality standards.
- Monitor test results, analyze issues, and provide actionable feedback to resolve defects and improve software quality.
- Support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI / CD) pipelines to streamline development and testing processes.
- Mentor junior testers and contribute to improving testing practices, tools, and methodologies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.10+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance on complex software projects.Strong programming skills in C#, Python, SQL, or similar languages; this is not a manual-only testing role.Experience with test automation frameworks, CI / CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions), and version control systems (e.g., Git, Subversion).Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling and defect tracking systems like JIRA or Bugzilla.Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a remote environment.Advanced certifications in testing or quality assurance (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA) preferred.U.S. citizenship required and must qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance.Benefits
