Job Purpose And Overview
This is a key role within the Landover Management team and will be responsible for improving and sustaining world class Manufacturing Maintenance standards, systems and procedures that will drive the necessary activities required to achieve the site's vision of becoming the "best in class" in the USA as well as a supplier and employer of choice.
This role will lead a team of mechanics and electricians to achieve high levels of machine up time and productivity throughput through the proactive utilization of structured Total Productive Maintenance program to maintain the competitiveness of the business in the global marketplace by encouraging and fostering predictive maintenance tools and techniques, including Conditions base monitoring, PPM, RCA MTTF, CMMS, Machinery re-design and CI programs to ensure sustainable and reliable machine performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Facility personnel and food safety. A leader for compliance to EOC health, safety and food safety policies and procedures, as well as identifying and reporting hazards.
- Supervise, train and mentor to build an effective maintenance team through effective leadership, team building, collaboration, and communication.
- Lead and conduct Root cause analysis of process and machinery downtime to eliminate re-occurring stoppages and material waste.
- Planning, fulfilment, and auditing of all Maintenance work orders and PPM schedules including, recording of stock usage and parts management to deliver an effective Total productive maintenance system at the Landover site.
- Identify, coordinate, and execute improvement opportunities in line with key performance indicators to enable continuous improvement across the facility.
- Ensure compliance to all EOC Engineering and Production standards, Food Safety, OSHA and company Safety standards, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
- Functions as primary plant contact for electrical / electronic issues. Provides "on-call" support by responding to phone calls during off hours and handling emergencies in a prompt and effective manner.
- Requires hands-on knowledge of industrial control systems, especially Allen Bradley PLC system troubleshooting, with PLC and Wonderware programming an advantage.
- Knowledge and experience with Control Logic, mechanical systems including hydraulic, pneumatic and power transmission a must.
- Support the development and implement critical parts inventory policy and implementation of effective stock control system, including stock levels and usage.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of a CMMS program
- Support successful transition of major Capital Investment Projects into full site operational readiness
- Record and report against key maintenance operational Indicators such as Machine uptime (machine availability), completion of PPM schedule in time and full, Mean time between failures, Usage levels, stock outs, etc,
- Track and trend machine downtime reason and design / re-design processes / machinery to eliminate root causes.
- Establish, improve, and sustain effective engineering change management procedures and policies.
- Establish, improve, and sustain a technical library for new and existing machinery and equipment on site.
- Establish, improve, and sustain a lean / agile manufacturing and CI culture within the maintenance team.
