Responsibilities

  • Evaluate existing end-user IT equipment to identify systems requiring refresh based on lifecycle, performance, and security compliance.
  • Plan and execute technical refresh initiatives, ensuring minimal operational disruptions and seamless transitions.
  • Develop, review, and modify standard operating procedures related to property book requirements and hardware lifecycle management.
  • Conduct internal audits and develop / review corrective action plans to support asset and inventory accuracy.
  • Negotiate supplier agreements, coordinate hardware deliveries, and oversee vendor performance as part of refresh operations.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of hardware configurations, refresh schedules, and change management activities.
  • Coordinate material movement and resource allocation to meet delivery schedules and program goals.
  • Provide training to internal and external stakeholders on refresh procedures, asset tracking systems, and associated software tools.
  • Lead or participate in process improvement teams, identifying efficiencies in procurement, logistics, and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate closely with IT, logistics, and security teams to ensure refreshed systems meet technical and compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must have an active DoD Security Clearance.
  • Must have a BA / BS Degree in computer science, information technology, or logistics.
  • Must have at least five (5+) years of relevant experience in IT asset management, procurement, lifecycle refresh, or a similar role.
  • IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570 / DoD 8140 (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP).
  • Must obtain a computing environment certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Demonstrated understanding of DoD procurement, property book, and infrastructure project management practices.
  • Knowledge of capital procurement processes, supplier negotiations, and service-level contracts.
  • Familiarity with audit processes, compliance frameworks, and IT service management tools (e.g., Remedy, ServiceNow).
  • ITIL v4 certification (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)
  • Experience with incident management within ServiceNow ITSM
  • Working knowledge of hardware configuration management tools and logistics tracking systems
  • Process improvement or quality management certification (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, ITIL v4 Foundation)
  • Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment
  • A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Salary

    Salary Range : $34,000 - $58,000

    Several factors influence the final salary or hourly rate, including but not limited to contract wage determinations, relevant work experience, role-specific skills and competencies, geographic location, educational background, certifications, and federal government contract labor categories.
