The ideal candidate will have strong clinical experience working with high-acuity cardiac patients in an intensive care setting. This role requires advanced critical-care skills, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill cardiac and post-operative cardiovascular patients. Monitor, assess, and manage patients requiring advanced hemodynamic support. Utilize and interpret cardiac monitors, telemetry, ventilators, and vasoactive infusions. Perform continuous assessment and documentation of patient conditions using ICU standards of care. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other specialists. Respond promptly to cardiac emergencies and rapid changes in patient condition. Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with facility protocols. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. Provide compassionate communication and education to patients and families. Required Qualifications Active RN license (state-specific as required). Minimum 1–2 years of recent CVICU experience caring for intensive cardiac and post-cardiac surgery patients. Proficiency with cardiac monitoring, ventilators, drips, and hemodynamic equipment. Strong critical-thinking and rapid-response skills. Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and 36 hours per week.
