General Summary :

The Orthotic / Prosthetic Technician II demonstrates leadership in meeting all responsibilities outlined in the Orthotic / Prosthetic Technician I summary of position responsibility. Utilizes advanced technical training for department leadership and consultation in a defined area of expertise. Leads technical project(s) and assumes supervisory responsibilities and serves as a mentor. The Technician II staff member serves as a role model by supporting management, participating in program development and departmental initiatives.

Essential Job Functions :

• Uses advanced technical reasoning and skills in all aspects of technical practice in defined area of technical expertise. Serves as a role model to staff, residents and others as seen by demonstrating a positive, non-judgmental attitude and enthusiasm toward job, hospital and profession.
• Provides direct, monitored and consultative approaches with co-workers.
• Performs all facets of technical fabrication including technically complex cases.
• Competent in appropriate material selection for orthotic and prosthetic designs.
• Sets example by faithfully supporting the mission, philosophy, standards, policies and procedures of the division.
• Performs job functions adhering to service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients, families, co-workers and others.
• Other job functions as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

Pay Range

$22.25-$36.38 Hourly

The pay range for this job indicates minimum and maximum targets for the position. Ranges are regularly reviewed to stay aligned with market conditions.
