Hardware Controls Engineer

About this Opportunity :

The Controls Hardware Engineer is a full-time exempt position that will be responsible for designing custom control solutions for the many diverse industries throughout the country. This role is primarily responsible for the controls hardware system design and overall quality of the chosen components. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Advanced Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop the electrical diagrams to include power distribution, magnetics, I / O, HMI, electrical panels, motor control circuits, safety circuits, VFDs, Servo Motors, Servo Press, interlocks, communication, safety circuits, etc.
• Design control panel layouts.
• Size components in panel(s) and generate BOM (Bill of Materials).
• Calculate for disconnect, transformers, power supplies, heat, SCCR.
• Build relationships and work with customers, project managers, engineering, quality, purchasing and vendors per project.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
