  • Coverage Period : January 5, 2026 Ongoing
  • Clinical Shift Schedule : OR 07 : 3015 : 00 or 08 : 0017 : 00; Clinic 08 : 3015 : 30
  • On-Call Shift Schedule : Daily call during shift, extends into evening (ends midnight or 6p)
  • Call Type : In-House + Telephone
  • Call Response Time : 30 minutes COVERAGE DATES
  • Starting January 5, 2026 ongoing, part-time coverage

PATIENT INFORMATION

  • Patient Demographics : Pediatrics
  • Patient Volume / Census : 1520 patients / day
  • Rounding : Included
  • Case Mix : Tonsillectomy, adenoids, tubes, frenulectomy, abscess drainage, myringoplasty, laryngoscopy

    • FACILITY INFORMATION

  • Trauma Level : Level I
  • EMR System : Epic
  • Specialty Backup Available : Pediatric ENT team (2 surgeons, 2 PAs)
  • Reason for Coverage : New position / PTO support

    • PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

  • Hospital Privileges Required : Yes
  • Temporary Privileges Available : Yes
  • Credentialing Timeline : ~90 days

    • COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered

    • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Licenses : Active Illinois license (will accept candidates needing to obtain one)
  • Board : BC / BE in Otolaryngology (Pediatric focus preferred)
  • DEA : Required
  • Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS
  • Experience : Minimum 1 year NOTES
  • Providers perform clinic / OR work while simultaneously covering call.
  • Call responsibilities extend into evening hours.
