Commissioning Engineer, ACx

As a Commissioning Engineer (CxE) within the ACx team, you will oversee and coordinate multi-discipline workflows related to the design review and commissioning processes for critical infrastructure in new construction and special projects. Your role involves supporting vendors, contractors, and internal teams in the construction and commissioning of various systems, including :

• Medium and low voltage power systems
• Generators
• UPS systems
• HVAC
• Chilled Water systems
• Building Management Systems (BMS)
• Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)

You will play a vital role in developing and reviewing comprehensive testing documentation to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards. Ensuring safety practices are followed throughout the commissioning procedures will be one of your key responsibilities.

The CxE will proactively communicate with both the ACx Area Manager and the Regional Manager to ensure effective execution of commissioning documents. Reporting on project statuses, capturing lessons learned, and suggesting program improvements will be essential aspects of your position.

A Day in the Life :

In your daily operations, you will collaborate across engineering, capacity delivery, and contractor teams to ensure all activities are coordinated and prioritized. You will manage the project commissioning vendor responsible for executing functional tests to identify and resolve issues efficiently. If project completion timelines are at risk, you will escalate concerns to the appropriate parties. After project completion, you will contribute to improving the commissioning processes by sharing insights from your experiences.
