Location : York, Pennsylvania (17403) – South Central PA healthcare jobs

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1910 - $2050 per week

Contract Length : 13 weeks travel nursing contract

Start Date : December 22, 2025

End Date : March 23, 2026

Shift : Day shifts : 4x10-hour (07 : 00 – 17 : 30) or 3x12-hour (07 : 00 – 19 : 30)

Hours per Week : 40

Call Requirements : 1-2 calls per week (Mon-Thur), 2 weekend call shifts every 6 weeks

Patient Population : Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics

Unit : 18 Operating Rooms, daily census 50-60 cases

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience

Specialized experience in neuro, trauma, ortho, and robotics OR cases

Ability to function independently in Neurosurgery

BLS certification (AHA or ARC only)

EPIC charting experience required

Experience in Trauma Level II facility required; Level I preferred

COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

First-time travel nurses not accepted

Must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes

Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract

Facility is tobacco and fragrance free

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver perioperative nursing care for neuro, trauma, ortho, and robotics surgical cases

Demonstrate proficiency in craniotomy, spinal fusions, kyphoplasty, laminectomy / discectomy, and minimally invasive surgeries

Administer blood and blood products, manage wound care, and handle surgical specimens

Maintain strict adherence to infection control, fire safety, and universal protocol procedures

Respond to code situations and surgical emergencies

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services

Participate in on-call rotation, including weekday and weekend call shifts

Provide care for COVID-19 patients as needed
