Registered Nurse - Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP)

CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Kleberg is a premier medical facility located in a community rich in Texas culture and ranching history. With 100 licensed beds, this Level IV Trauma Center provides a wide range of medical and surgical services, including Pediatrics, Obstetrics, and Skilled Nursing, as well as Emergency and Intensive Care services.

Our birthing services are housed within the state-of-the-art Kleberg Plaza, featuring modern LDRP rooms, a nursery, the Cissy Horlock Taub Women's Center, and physician office suites. Additionally, we offer outpatient rehabilitation services at two convenient Kingsville locations.

Position Summary :

The competent nurse in the same or similar clinical setting practices independently and is aware of all relevant aspects of each situation. This role involves providing both routine and complex care while developing strategies for long-term goals. You will also be responsible for delegating tasks to other care providers to effectively manage clinical situations.

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families according to your experience level.
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and deliver education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
