Global trade still runs on outdated, time-consuming manual workflows. We're fixing that! Anchor AI is building AI agents for customs brokers. Our AI works alongside humans to help brokers process more shipments- faster, with fewer errors.

We're growing fast, backed by First Round Capital (early investors in Flexport), Pear VC, and other top investors. The timing is perfect : with the changes from the current administration, the market is waking up to the potential of AI. We're racing to be the default AI platform for them.

The Role : Build the Foundation

As a Founding Engineer, you'll shape both our product and technology from the ground up. You'll help define system architecture, inform product direction, and ship features that deliver real value-fast.

This is a high-leverage role for someone who enjoys full ownership, moves quickly, and builds with purpose.

What You'll Do

  • Design and build AI-powered logistics solutions end-to-end.
  • Develop across the stack : from polished, intuitive front-ends to scalable, reliable back-ends.
  • Own core systems and features from design to deployment.
  • Collaborate directly with the founding team and early users to shape the roadmap.
  • Drive engineering excellence, velocity, and real-world impact.

Who You Are

  • High-Agency & Impact-Oriented - You take initiative, prioritize user value, and move with urgency.
  • Product-Focused - You think beyond code to what truly matters : outcomes and experience.
  • Clear Communicator & Team Player - You thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
  • Full-Stack Fluent - You're comfortable building with Next.js, Python (FastAPI), and deploying on GCP. You know where to go deep and when to move fast.
  • Eye for Great Front-End - You care about clean interfaces, intuitive flows, and seamless interactions.
  • AI-Literate - You've worked with LLMs in production or used them to accelerate your own work.
  • Experienced - 2+ years in high-impact roles with a track record of ownership and execution.
