Description :

This is a full-time position in a cardiac telemetry unit.

Candidates must be able to work with increased patient ratios during peak times.

This unit monitors patients on a cardiac monitor and administers cardiac drips.

The patient population includes heart failure, heart attack, strokes, and cardiac arrhythmias.

Candidates may also care for overflow medical patients if necessary.

Weekend work is required every other weekend.

Holidays require working two out of three designated holidays.

Block scheduling can be accommodated but is not guaranteed.

The unit consists of 54 beds and provides telemetry monitoring in a remote telemetry room.

The unit has interdisciplinary support from various departments such as physical therapy and respiratory services.

Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in various telemetry and cardiac skills, including monitoring and managing patients on cardiac drips.

A background check is necessary prior to hiring.

Candidates are expected to complete required training modules before beginning the position.

This role requires strong communication and teamwork skills.
