Compliance Officer

This position can be Hybrid (In-office 3 days per week) or Fully Remote Offices include Boston, MA; Hartford, CT; Atlanta, GA; Urbandale, IA; New York, NY; Toronto, ON; and other US / Canada locations considered.
Role Summary : As a Compliance Officer, you will play a vital role in helping Marsh & McLennan colleagues comply with laws and regulations while upholding the highest ethical standards. You will independently manage projects and collaborate across teams to build a strong culture of compliance.
You will focus on key areas including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Trade Sanctions, Conflicts of Interest, Public Sector Regulations, Risk Assessments, Privacy, and Data Protection. Within the Governance and Operations unit, you will drive efficiency, deliver insights, and align compliance programs with risk and monitoring frameworks.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support day-to-day compliance program operations including issue resolution, monitoring, reporting, and remediation.
- Manage compliance systems and tools, ensuring data accuracy and system integrity.
- Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities, providing actionable insights.
- Assist in developing and maintaining training, policies, procedures, and controls to meet regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and document compliance reviews, risk assessments, and internal audits.
- Help establish and maintain effective Compliance and AML policies, procedures, and controls aligned with KYC / AML standards.
- Develop colleague training and awareness programs.
- Propose and implement operational improvements to enhance business support.
- Engage routinely with business units through training, guidance, and project collaboration.
What You Need to Have :
Bachelor's degree.Minimum 5 years of compliance experience in a complex, regulated environment.Strong project management skills.Technological proficiency and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with high accuracy.What Makes You Stand Out :
