Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Pensacola, FL (32504) – Florida nursing jobs Healthcare Setting : Medical-Surgical Unit Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night shifts, 12 hours each Hours per Week : 36 Start Date : December 8, 2025 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1530-$1640 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Florida or compact state BLS Certification (required prior to first shift) ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift) Minimum 1 year of recent bedside clinical experience (2 years preferred) Experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Step-Down units Proficiency with ventilators and critical drips Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission Develop individualized care plans and identify patient teaching needs Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and discharge planning Communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team to ensure continuity and safety Supervise and provide direction to ancillary nursing personnel Promote and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff Contribute positively to team building and a supportive work environment Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation Engage in ongoing professional development and nursing education Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
