LC Marine HVAC and Refrigeration Engineer

Job Description :

• The LC Marine HVAC and Refrigeration Engineer will help provide engineering technical and management support in studying, analyzing, and evaluating engineering problems, and developing solutions.
• Support will include assisting in the development of contract documentation and the development of technical plans, specifications, cost estimates relating to the various categories of engineering support services, studies provided, and associated reports.
• This position will be part of a contract team to assist in the preparation of a wide range of engineering and feasibility studies, providing engineering and technical support for design review, performance feasibility studies, and designs of ships, boat, and shipboard systems in support of existing and future vessel acquisition programs.
• Design, develop and evaluate operation of shipboard HVAC&R systems (including heating / cooling load, duct sizing and chill water piping calculations, equipment selection.
• Conduct HVAC&R trade studies.
• Lead engineers in development efforts, reviews of technical data packages and coordinate with other functional areas to complete ship design.
• Knowledge of ABS, USN, and industry standards relating to shipboard HVAC systems.
