About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Solar Installer / Apprentice Electrician to join our team in Woodbridge, VA. This role involves hands-on installation of residential and / or commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, supporting licensed electricians, and ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Install solar PV systems including racking, wiring, modules, and balance-of-system components.

Assist journeyman / master electricians with electrical tasks, conduit runs, terminations, and inverter installations.

Perform roof work including measuring, mounting rails, and securing solar hardware.

Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and effectively.

Maintain compliance with NEC, company safety policies, and project specifications.

Work collaboratively with team members to ensure projects are completed on schedule.

Troubleshoot installation issues and communicate findings to supervisors.

Requirements

Must be able to start work on Monday (immediate need).

Experience with solar installation OR electrical field work preferred.

Apprentice electrician experience or enrollment in an apprenticeship program is a plus.

Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work on roofs safely.

Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

OSHA-10 certification preferred (not required).
