About The Position

Certifications : BLS, ACLS

Must-Have Skills :

Mixed lab experience in Cath Lab and IR procedures.

2 years of previous experience.

Prior travel experience preferred.

Description :

Unit consists of 3 suites.

Average number of cases per day is 8-10.

Common procedures include left and right heart catheterizations (both interventional and diagnostic), electrophysiology studies, pacemaker and defibrillator insertions, and interventional radiology procedures such as PICC line placement, central lines, Swans, pleurovacs, and stroke intervention.

Job duties include procedure setup, circulating during procedures, administering sedation, and monitoring patients throughout procedures.

RN will be responsible for hemodynamic monitoring.

Monitoring will take place in a control room outside the main procedure room.

The control room has visibility to the patient, but the nurse will need to move between the procedure and control rooms.

Experience in both Cath Lab and IR is essential for success in this role.

Evening call is required 1-2 times per week after regular shifts.

Weekend call is also required, with 1-2 weekends per month being 24-hour call.

Holiday call requirements include 1 major and 1 minor holiday.

Call response time is 30 minutes.

There are no floating requirements.

Scrub color and dress code will be provided.

Up to 2 weeks of department-specific orientation will be offered, with no call rotation until after the 3rd week.

Additional scenario-based questions may be requested during the hiring process.

Cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled per 13-week assignment.

Charting system used is Cerner.

COVID Vaccine certification is required.

NIHSS certification is also required.
