Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP EWM Technical Consultant to provide technical expertise for our advanced warehouse management solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong ABAP development skills, deep understanding of EWM architecture, and experience in building custom solutions to support complex warehouse operations, automation integration, and real-time inventory management processes.

Key Responsibilities

EWM Technical Development & Customization :

Develop custom ABAP programs for warehouse operations including goods receipt, putaway, picking, and shipping processes
Create and modify warehouse process types, storage control, and movement strategies using EWM framework
Build custom RF (Radio Frequency) screens and mobile applications for warehouse operations
Develop automated warehouse task management and resource optimization algorithms
Implement custom enhancement spots, BADIs, and user exits for EWM-specific business logic

Warehouse Automation Integration :

Design and develop interfaces with warehouse automation systems (WCS / WES, conveyor systems, robotics)

Implement real-time communication protocols for automated storage and retrieval systems (AS / RS)

Develop integration solutions for pick-and-pack robots, automated guided vehicles (AGVs), and sorting systems

Create custom communication channels using TCP / IP, web services, and message queuing systems

Build monitoring and control dashboards for automated warehouse equipment

Advanced EWM Configuration & Performance :

Configure complex warehouse layouts, storage types, and bin management strategies

Implement advanced slotting algorithms and dynamic bin allocation processes

Develop custom yard management solutions with dock appointment scheduling
